I’m honored to know Dan and call him my friend. Took a long time, but it does show that nice, no make that GREAT, guys can finish first. Congrats Dan.

Now how many shots are you giving me next time we tee it up? :)

Dan,

A guy who not only is fun to watch but if you are fortunate enough to join him in a round of golf he will help you with your game. In brief, he is a good guy and a gentleman -something that the athletics need more of. Thanks Dan for being an A+ role model .

Congratulations Dan (and Kelly…it’s hard waiting on him to succeed… :) )
One of the things I would say that I am thankful for at Thanksgiving is always my salvation, but in addition, along with many other things……one is that I met and became friends with Dan a number of years a go at Lake Okoboji Iowa. It was at a tournament where I was his “spotter” on the tee box and he was hitting balls for the tournament groups as they came through. The hole was 420 yards long……he was hitting them over the green, some on the green, and very few short. He was taunting the real “studs” with hitting his putter about 300+ off the tee. It was great!
Over the years we have had a chance to meet at several other places and it’s always a treat. One short story…..I remember arranging to pick up a club at his home when he and Kelly happened to be out of town. I was speaking to him by cell phone and he gave me the garage code to get in and talked me through the garage to the club, etc. What I didn’t know and he told me later. A neighbor friend was watching this strange vehicle in the drive and proceeded to call Kelly at their out of town location. Kelly didn’t know about the “pickup” and quickly called Dan to let him know that someone was “breaking in” to the garage. I didn’t get arrested. I must have still gotten the wrong club because I still can’t make it do what he does. Anyway, It all turned out with smiles. Anyone want the code? :)
Dan…..you done good…..for an old Remsen, Iowa boy! Congrats, from an old LeMars boy who is still a banker in Mapleton, Iowa. I would love to hear from you sometime and we’ll try to get together. I’ll be out in Scottsdale 3rd week of Feb and in Palm Springs the 4th week of Feb. If you’re nearby, I’d love to see you hit some with “regulation” equipment and without all that “TV Golf Channel trickery” that I’m sure makes you look better! :)
Solid and smooth……In Him, Myron D. Rozell

One of the best guys I’ve met through all my years in the golf biz. You want a guy to show up to your tourney and make everyone feel comfortable and have some fun? He’s the guy. Congrats Dan…looking forward to our next round.
